The conditions for acquisition Turkish citizenship through real estate have changed!

Significant legislative amendments are made in the Regulation on the Implementation of the Turkish Citizenship Law with the regulation published in the Official Gazette dated May 13, 2022, and numbered 31834.

 1. The minimum investment limit required to acquire Turkish citizenship through purchasing real estate is increased to USD 400.000 (from USD 250.000) as of June 13, 2022.

2. A new method for acquisition of Turkish citizenship is introduced. Accordingly, a Turkish citizenship acquisition may be acquired by depositing a contribution of at least USD 500.000 or the corresponding foreign currency into the private pension system, provided that it is kept in the funds determined by the Insurance and Private Pensions Regulation and Supervision Agency and it remains in the system for 3 (three) years.
